Actress Priyanka Chopra took to Twitter to express her condolences to the families affected by the terror attack in the New York city, in which at least eight people were killed and 11 others injured. The attack was mounted by an Uzbek who ploughed his truck through cyclists and pedestrians in the New York City.

Actress Priyanka Chopra tweeted that the attack happened just five blocks away from her residence in New York.

Priyanka is currently in New York to shoot for the third season of her ABC TV show Quantico. In the set pictures that appeared online on Sunday, the star can be seen involved in a kidnapping plot, with a black cloth being wrapped around her head as a man grabs her from behind.Priyanka recently wrapped up filming in Italy for the 13-episode third season of the spy thriller - the previous two seasons have had 22 episodes each.

Priyanka plays FBI agent Alex Parrish on the show. The show, despite its bad ratings in the second season, was renewed for another season and will be out soon on ABC Network. Quantico season 3 is scheduled to premiere in January 2018.
