Nothing wrong with petty bribes: Minister Rajaiah

Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister T. Rajaiah stoked yet another controversy when he backed bribe-takers in the government hospitals.

Rajiah, who himself is a doctor, raked a controversy by supporting the bribe takers. After a overnight stay at the Area Hospital, the Deputy CM said "There is no fault if the workers in the hospitals demand Rs 100 or 200. Don't consider them as corrupt," he said.
He however said patients can lodge complaints with RDO, DMHO and collectors over the phone if anyone harasses them.
The health minister, who had earlier said five people were killed due to Swine Flu, changed his stand and said there were no Swine Flu deaths in Telangana.
Many feels patients have shell out from their pockets if the deputy and health minister himself supports the bribe-takers.
