Nivedana App to Address Grievances of District People

The application has a provision to alert the state-level officers if the district officials do not address the complaint.

In a move that will help people to connect to district administration and government faster as well as to get their issues resolved quickly, the Jogulamba Gadwal district collectorate has developed an mobile application called Nivedana. Telangana's Handloom and Textiles minister KT Rama Rao formally launched the app on Wednesday.

After launching the app, KTR mentioned that Nivedana would make officials more accountable and address people's complaints effectively as well as instill confidence among the people. The app has been developed in such a manner that if village-level officials do not take up the work then mandal-level officials can oversee it, and if mandal-level fails to solve it then it will reach the district officers. The application has a provision to alert the state-level officers if the district officials do not address the complaint.

On Nivedana, people can lodge complaints with respect to 14 issues, the government has identified these 14 basic issues affecting the rural folk and has got it integrated into the app. Any complaint lodged on the app has to be resolved within a week on else it will escalate to the next level.
