Nitish to be Sworn-in After Diwali

The Grand Alliance in Bihar will formally elect Nitish Kumar as chief minister after Diwali or after the Chhath festival. The swearing-in ceremony will also be scheduled after the festival season.
Various permutations and combinations are being discussed in political circles and outside regarding the composition of the proposed cabinet. The most likely scenario for seat sharing will be a 4:4:2 seat-sharing formula between RJD, JD (U) and Congress. The RJD emerged as the single largest party with 80 assembly seats, followed by the JD-U with 71 and the Congress with 27.
Sources said RJD may press for the deputy chief minister's post and propose Lalu's daughter Misa Bharati name for the post. Though Misa is not a legislator, she could enter the Legislative Council on the seat vacated by Lalu’s personal assistant Bhola Yadav, now an MLA.
Also, there are high chances of one of Lalu Prasad’s sons — Tej Pratap who won from Mahua and Tejaswi who won from Raghopur — becoming a minister in the Nitish Kumar government.
Among the invitees will be Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik.
