Nirmala Sitharaman to be sent to RS from AP?

Union Minister of State for Commerce Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting  Prakash Javdekar are going to be Rajya Sabha members soon.

As per the party sources, Nirmala will be given the chance from Andhra Pradesh while Javdekar will be the member in the upper house from Madhya Pradesh.

At present, both of them are not the members in either of the houses. They worked as the Official Spokespersons of BJP during the elections and did not contest in those elections.

But, Narendra Modi inducted both of them into his cabinet as the Ministers of State with independent charge.

With the death of former chief minister Nedurumalli Janardhana Reddy, one seat became vacant in Andhra Pradesh.

Telugu Desam Party has reportedly agreed to give this seat to BJP. With this, Nirmala Sitharaman has got the chance to go to Rajya Sabha from here.

Nirmala Sitharaman is a native of Tamil Nadu and married Parakala Prabhakar, who belongs to Andhra Pradesh.
