Next three days are crucial for us : Jagan

YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday came down heavily on the Congress Party during his dharna against state bifurcation in Jantar Mantar, Delhi.

“The separatists have no understanding on the problems of the state. Telugu is spoken by most number of people in India after Hindi. The UPA government is trying to divide them”, said Jagan

“With the bifurcation of the state, both Seemandhra and Telangana will suffer, as  any state can be developed only when the big cities and coastal areas are kept together”, explained the Kadapa MP.

“Only salt water is there from Kuppam in Chittoor district to Srikakulam. It means Seemandhra people will suffer most with the formation of Telangana”, said Jagan.
He said that the problems of the farmers will increase with the bifurcation of the state. “If the state is divided, the farmers in the state have to fight for water”, said Jagan.

“Congress is playing with the sentiments of the people of the state”, said Jagan.
He said that ruling party is doing injustice to the people in Seemandhra with the power in their hand.

“About 75% of sales tax  and about 60% of revenue for Andhra Pradesh is coming from Hyderabad. Then, what will be the position of Seemandhra people if the state is divided”, asked Jagan.

“At present, we are getting the residual water after the people in Maharashtra and Karnataka used them”, he added.

“All the national parties, including BJP, should join their hands together and merge the Congress party in the Bay of Bengal”, said Jagan.

“Next three days are crucial for us. We have to fight by keeping aside all the differences among us”, said Jagan.

He condoled the death of a retired MDO Joshi, who died while taking part in the protest of APNGOs at Ram Leela Grounds in Delhi this morning.

He reminded the recommendation of Sri Krishna Committee which stated that it would be better to keep the state as it is now.

“I am also faulting the way the bill was introduced in Lok Sabha. No MP said OK for introducing the bill for which I was the eye witness”, said Jagan.

“I have planned the dharna in Delhi to make the Delhi bosses aware of the seriousness of the issue. We came here travelling about some thousands of kilometers in the deep cold. I am thanking all those persons who are here now”, said Jagan.

Kadapa MP said that he was questioning the ill political system the country has now.
“In the past, not even one state was formed without the acceptance of the people there and respective state assemblies’”, said Jagan.
