Icon Star Allu Arjun's forthcoming film Pushpa: The Rule has been in the news since its inception. It is a sequel to Pushpa: The Rise, which was released in 2021 and was a commercial hit at the box office. Now, expectations are riding high on Pushpa 2 for obvious reasons. The regular shooting of the film is going at a brisk pace.

No buyers for Pushpa: The Rule rights

Pushpa 2 is directed by Sukumar. The film boasts a stellar cast, particularly Allu Arjun, Rashmika, Fahadh Faasil and others. These stars are crowd-pullers but why there are no takers for Pushpa 2's overseas rights?

According to certain sources, Pushpa 2's makers are quoting Rs 100 cr for the overseas rights. As of now, no one is showing interest in buying the rights for one billion rupees.

Prabhas' Salaar is one of the most awaited films of the year. The entire nation has been waiting for the film. Salaar's overseas rights were sold for Rs 72 cr. The distributors and exhibitors must be thinking that the makers of Pushpa 2 are demanding too much for overseas rights. Will Mythri Movie Makers slash their price or will they go with the same price?

The film will be released in theatres on August 15, 2024.
