Why Did Raja Singh Skip BJP’s Vijay Sankalpa Yatra?

Hyderabad: Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh stayed away from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s 'Vijay Sankalpa Yatra' which began on Tuesday. The state BJP is planning to cover 17 Lok Sabha constituencies and 14 Assembly segments during its 10-day yatra across five locations in the state.  

Raja Singh’s absence from the yatra has sparked speculations that all is not well between the Goshamahal legislator and the party unit. He has reportedly criticised the senior BJP top leaders over some unknown matter. He also gave a miss to the party’s meeting in Bhuvanagiri today. 

According to reports, Raja Singh has expressed his displeasure for not considering him in the BJP Legislature Party (BJPLP) team. Reportedly, the party’s decision has not gone down well with him. Notably, Goshamahal had objected to the appointment of AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi as the pro-tem speaker of the newly formed Telangana Assembly. He refused to take oath as a member of the Assembly being administered by the  pro-tem speaker.
