Hyderabad: A video showing a scuffle that broke out between the customers and the hotel staff is going viral on social media over biryani in the downtown area of Hyderabad. The incident was recorded at the Grand Hotel in the Abids area of the city on Sunday evening but the video clip of the clashes is being circulated today. However, there are no reports of injuries in the clashes.

As per reports, the brawl took place over the quality of biryani being served at the hotel. A family from Dhoolpet had visited the hotel to celebrate the new year. They did not like the quality of biryani served to them, so they asked the hotel staff to replace their food. They realised that the same food was served again.

Upset over poor quality of biryani, the family argued with the hotel staff and the altercation soon led to a brawl. The family refused to pay for the food which appears to have enraged the hotel staff. According to the hotel staff, the customers misbehaved with them and created a ruckus.

Later, a family member approached the Abids police and lodged a complaint against the Grand hotel. Meanwhile, a BJP MLA from Goshamahal assembly constituency has intervened in the matter and requested the police to take action against the persons involved in the incident.
