16 May, 2021 10:50 IST|Sakshi Post

Many coronavirus patients are going to other states if they are unable to get the treatment at their own places. We have seen many COVID-19 patients reaching Hyderabad from other places for better treatment.

Now, many people from Telangana are going to their neighbouring states to get vaccinated. According to the reports, people aged between 18 and 44 years of age from the districts like Mancherial, Adilabad, Peddapalli, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Sangareddy, Kamareddy, Jagtial are going to Maharashtra and Karnataka for getting second dose of their vaccine. All these districts are 100 to 150 km away from the above mentioned two borders. Some of the folks are renting private vehicles to cross the borders.

From May 1st, the Telangana government had planned to start the vaccination for those between 18 to 44 years of age. But due to shortage of vaccines, the vaccination drive has been stopped.

Due to various reasons, some of the people are missing the second dose of COVID-19. People are worried about the delay in taking the second jab of vaccine. But, many doctors are saying that there is nothing to worry even if there is a delay in the second shot of vaccine. It is said that even if the gap between two doses increases to 8-10 weeks, beneficiaries can take the second shot and it will still be effective.
