Telangana: Special ePass to Advocates For Intra-city Travel

Somesh Kumar, the Telangana Chief Secretary, said on Tuesday that lawyers appearing in the High Court and other courts in the state would be allowed to travel from their homes or offices to their offices and back for official purposes only between the hours of 2 pm and 5 p.m., based on an e-Pass issued by the police department.

Advocates must apply for an e-Pass by providing their residential and office addresses to the Police Commissioners and the district Superintendent of Police in their jurisdiction. During the hours between 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., movement of people is restricted and they are not allowed to ply between residence and office. The e-Pass will be valid till June 9. Director General of Police M Mahendar Reddy would take necessary action in the matter.
