2 Jun, 2021 10:50 IST|Sakshi Post

The Telangana government had earlier cancelled the 10th class exams and Intermediate first-year exams and promoted students to the next class due to the surge of COVID cases in the State.  Now, we hear that the TS Government is likely to do the same with Inter Second Year too. After the central government decided to cancel the CBSE examination, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is likely to ask TSBIE to promote all the second-year Intermediate students.

The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) is working on a document with two or three options for KCR regarding exam cancellation and grading based on first-year performance. As a result of last year's promotion, approximately 4.80 lakh students are now enrolled for the second-year exams. The first-year annual exams were held last year and out of the 4,80,555 students who attempted, only 2,88,383 passed in all the subjects. However, due to the pandemic situation, the government cancelled advanced supplementary exams, and all students who applied for supplementary were promoted to the second year with minimum pass marks in the failed subjects.
