Possible Night Curfew in Telangana after June 10.

HYDERABAD: As the Covid situation in Telangana is slowly coming under control, the restrictions are also being lifted step by step. The state government is planning on decreasing the curfew time even further, mostly after June 10.

Mostly after June 10, the night curfew timing will be from 8 pm to 7 am. Lifting the lockdown in one go can be risky and may lead to an increase in the cases once again. That is why doing so in a phased manner would be favourable. Chief Minister KCR has been slowly extending the relaxation time.

Currently, the relaxation time is only from 6 am to 1 pm with a strict lockdown in place after those hours. This routine which was announced on May 31, has been confirmed to last till June 9. The government is now planning to keep the night curfew from 8 pm to 7 am after June 9 or June 10. This will continue for some time before the lockdown is lifted completely.

It was said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is happy to see the decline in Covid cases in the state. After announcing a night curfew in April, the CM announced a lockdown from May 12 to May 30. It was a one-week lockdown which was later extended till the end of May. During this time, the curfew lasted for 20 hours with just 4 hours of relaxation time from 6 am to 10 am.

During this time, the cases did see a dip but the number of fatalities was still fairly high. After May 30, the relaxation time was extended further from 6 am to 1 pm. Till 2 pm is the grace time, but after that, the police will seize your vehicle. You cannot be seen on roads after 2 pm unless it’s a genuine emergency. Medical services are available for the entire time.
