After the Coronavirus pandemic started, people started thinking of boosting their immunity by consuming meat along with fruits and dry fruits. With this, meat shops started coming up in every street of Telangana. However, the prices are different in every other shop. So, the Telangana Animal Husbandry Department wanted to provide clean meat at affordable prices to the consumer.

The Telangana government decided to bring all the meat shops under its control and is planning to set up regional wise slaughterhouses in the state. These slaughterhouses will be linked to all local meat shops where the shop keepers are required to sell only that meat to the consumers. This process ensures that the buyers will get clean and pure meat.

Besides this, the government is planning to provide a refrigerator to every meat shop to store the meat and a special system will be set up to constantly monitor the cleanliness of the shops. At present, there are more than ten thousand shops under GHMC limits out of which only 2K shops have government permission.

The state government will take prior steps and bring all the meat shops under control and also make sure to make fish sales in the shops. This decision is taken to provide fish at cheaper rates. According to the reports, the government will also take steps to supply meat and fish to hotels and restaurants irrespective of towns and cities to ensure the growth of fishermen and meat suppliers.
