The Telangana State Cabinet will meet on Thursday to make a decision on filling of 50,000 vacancies in various government ministries. The Cabinet will also go over the Dalit Bandhu scheme and the government's proposal to gradually expand it to other communities. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will submit a report on the pilot implementation of Dalit Bandhu in the Huzurabad Assembly constituency and seek Cabinet approval to expand the scheme to four additional mandals.

Since the government plans to hold the monsoon session of the State Assembly during the last week of September, the Cabinet may also finalise the session's dates. According to officials, all departments have already submitted their reports on the vacancies in each wing to Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar.

As per reports, approximately 65,000 vacancies exist, and a notification to fill the positions will be released shortly after the Cabinet's approval. The government has identified the highest number of posts in the Police Medical, Health, and Education department, Agriculture and Welfare department. Under the new zonal system, the Panchayat Raj and Municipal Administration and Urban Development departments have almost 10,000 posts in various categories at the district, zonal, and multi-zonal levels.
