Telangana To Begin Flight Services In Warangal Soon!

Flights by smaller aircraft are going to start from Warangal soon. 19-seater planes are going to start from Mamnoor in the Warangal district soon. The central government has decided to launch the smaller aircraft and expand it on an experimental basis. The Union Ministry of Civil Aviation has recently written to the state government to make necessary arrangements for the expansion of Mamnoor airport. A high-level meeting with central and state government officials is going to be conducted soon. The state government will soon announce the starting date of flights in Warangal.

Recently, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia met Telangana CM KCR and has assured that he will take steps to commence flight operations by ATR aircraft from the land in possession of the Airports Authority of India at Mamnoor in Warangal district.

Technical clearance for the airport at Jakranpalli in Nizamabad district is going to be issued and the ministry will also supervise the setting up of an airport by the India, Air Force at Adilabad.

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is developing the Civil Dornier 228 model aircraft. The department of Civil Aviation and HAL has come to an agreement to purchase and operate these aircraft.
