In a revelation that has sent shockwaves in the academic circles, Firoz Bhakht Ahmed, the Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has written to VC Sajjanar, Commissioner of Police Cyberabad. In his letter he has alled the presence of drugs and sex racket inside the MANUU campus, as per a report published in a leading English daily.
The MANUU chancellor claimed in his letter that aphrodisiacal drugs were supplied to the students and staff at the health centre inside Maulana Azad National Urdu University campus. He also accused the university administration of encouraging and allowing drug peddling and prostitution inside the MANUU campus.
In his letter the MANUU chancellor reportedly mentioned about the misleading reply sent by one of the staffers to an enquiry put forth by National Commission Of Women (NCW) on the presence of possible prostitution at the health centre and infotmation about running a sex racket inside the MANUU campus.
The Vice Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Professor Rahmatullah however rubbished such claims saying, the registrar had replied to the enquiry made by the NCW.
