Hyderabad: CISF personnel went into a tizzy after the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) authorities received a hoax bomb threat message. An anonymous message claimed that an explosive device had been planted within the airport.

Following the threat message, a high alert was declared at the airport and a bomb disposal squad carried out the inspection of the entire airport facility and its premises. According to the details, the anonymous message was shared with the GMR customer care.
Notably, RGIA is operated by GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd.

After performing a thorough check of the airport and its surroundings, the bomb threat turned out to be a hoax message. Subsequently, the police have registered a case against an unknown person and launched an investigation into it. The police officials suspect that the threat message may have emanated from abroad.
