The ruling TRS party has decided not to give the posts of district presidents to those who have won as the MLAs. The Assembly elections are going to take place in 2024, it seems like TRS Chief K Chandra Sekhar Rao wants the MLAs to concentrate on the development activities of the constituencies and is planning to give some key responsibilities to other members of the party as well. After five years, the elections to the party district committee are going to take place. Three years ago, the party dissolved district committees and have set up constituency committees chaired by MLAs. The district committees elections are going to be conducted from September 21.
TRS working president, KTR on Monday held a review meeting with party general secretaries. During the meeting, KTR revealed that MLAs will not be given the posts of district presidents. It is said that four or five MLAs are aspiring for the district president posts in a total of 33 districts.
The party has directed the district ministers, MLAs, MLCs, and other leaders to work in coordination for selecting the candidates. TRS Party chief KCR will finalize the names of four to five candidates for each position. According to the reports, experienced candidates who are active in organizing various activities will be taken into consideration for the post.
