Mahabubabad: Maoist Bejjeri Sammakka Urged to Surrender For Covid Treatment

Telangana State Committee Secretary and Central Committee member Yapa Narayana alias Haribhushan's wife Bejjeri Sammakka alias Saradakka is suffering from Covid-19. Mahabubabad Superintendent of Police (SP) N Koti Reddy asked them to join the social mainstream so that they could get treated for Covid-19.

Narayana died on June 21 due to coronavirus and there were also rumours that even his wife Sammakka succumbed to Covid-19. But the CPI Maoists condemned the news in a statement and accused the police of spreading the news.

Sammakka, a native of Gangaram village in Mahabubabad district, located near Madagudem village of Yapa Narayana, too joined the outlawed CPI Maoist party and has been serving the party.

SP Koti Reddy, who met the kin of Haribushan at his native village Madagudem on Thursday, said they would provide treatment to Sammakka if she surrendered to the police.
