Telangana government has taken a key decision and released new guidelines related to the regularisation of encroachments of lands. GO 58 and 59, which were issued earlier, have remained the same. The government will regularize the encroached lands within 125 square yards for free of cost if any one pays Rs 1000. The revenue department has issued GO No. 14 and gave an opportunity for the people to apply under the scheme from February 21 to March 31.
The GO reads, "The State government extend the time limit to receive applications from February 21 to March 31 as a final opportunity for assignment/regularisation and transfer of rights over encroachments of unobjectionable State government lands and the lands owned by various Departments/Corporations/Institutions, in terms of GO 58 and GO 59. The Commissioner of Land Administration and respective District Collectors will take necessary action to implement these orders."
Those who want to regularise the encroached lands, they can apply in their nearest Me-Seva till March 31. If the application is rejected then they will not be given Rs. 1000 back. People who falls below poverty line, neednot pay Rs.1000 for the regularisation of 125 square yards of encroached land. The penal amount will be based on the basic value of the land.
