Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao handed over the keys of lake view flats located in Ambedkar Nagar, Hussain Sagar on Saturday morning. A total of 330 families got new houses. The 330 flats, spread across seven blocks, with ten lifts and 26 stores. The cost of the entire project was Rs 28.05 lakh and the construction cost of each flat was Rs 8.50 lakh.

Potti Sriramulu Nagar 2BHK Housing Colony, GY Reddy Compound 2BHK Housing Colony, and Golla Komaraiah Colony 2BHK Housing Colony are among the other housing colonies that are scheduled for inauguration. All of these housing societies will be inaugurated on June 28, July 1, and July 5, respectively.

Ministers KTR and Talsani Srinivas Yadav inaugurated the double bedroom houses at Ambedkar Nagar on PV Road on Saturday morning. Home Minister Mohammad Ali, GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijaya Lakshmi and Deputy Mayor Srilatha Shobhan Reddy participated in the event. Speaking on the occasion, KTR said that the selection of beneficiaries is being carried out transparently. He said that focus should be laid on cleanliness and greenery around the flats.

He further added that one crore worth double bedrooms have been given free of cost to the poor. He said that the government is providing houses for the poor and is also providing wedding expenses for the poor. The percentage of greenery has increased by 5 per cent in the state so far and this percentage is yet to be increased. He ordered officials to take care so that no waste is being dumped in Hussain Sagar.
