KHAMMAM: In a gross violation of traffic rules, three woman constables were caught on camera for 1) triple riding in a two-wheeler, 2) not wearing helmets and 3) talking on the mobile on their way to duty, in Khammam. The incident came to light on Sunday, when the picture of these three women went viral on social media. The lady in the middle is seen putting the mobile phone to the ear of the constable driving, while the one at the rear end is also seen talking on the phone. The women were following the mask rule though...

This picture had come to the notice of the Khammam Police Commissioner Vishnu S Warrier who took serious note of this incident. A Rs 3,300 fine was imposed on the three woman constables and apart from the fine, the Commissioner also ordered departmental action against the constables.

The woman constables' were from the city armed wing and the third constable was working at the One Town police station.

As per reports, the women were heading for work after they were posted for bandobast duty for YS Sharmila’s meeting on the 9th of April in Khammam and they had picked up the civil constable as she was also heading in the same way, and they were caught on the CC Cameras located on the way.
