13 Jul, 2021 13:47 IST|Sakshi Post

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is going to chair a state cabinet meeting today at 2 pm. The meeting is going to take place at Pragathi Bhavan. In the cabinet meeting, KCR and others would discuss the COVID-19 situation in the state. The cabinet is likely to discuss other issues related to agriculture, palle and pattana pragathi and is going to take a call on filling vacant government jobs. The state cabinet is likely to give a green signal to fill nearly 50,000 vacant posts in various government departments on Tuesday.

The Telangana government is planning to revise the land rates for property registrations. Currently, the government is collecting 6% of the total land value as a registration fee. According to the reports, there is going to be either a 1.5 or 2 percent hike in the registration fee. In the last eight years, there is no increase in the land registration fee, so the government is planning to revise the land rates.

According to the reports, the government is earning Rs. 500 crore per month as registration fees. If the government announces any hike in the registration fee then an additional Rs. 250 crore will be added to the existing Rs. 500 crore.
