Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is going to lay the foundation stones for the Karne Thanda Lift Irrigation Scheme and medical and nursing colleges in Wanaparthy district on December 19.
KCR will also inaugurate the newly constructed Integrated District Collectorate Complex, double bedroom houses, and market yard at Chityala. Besides these, he will also lay the foundation stones for the groundnut research centre, sheep reproduction centres, and the offices of the sub-registrar as well as the Chief Engineer of the Irrigation Department.
A total of Rs. 76.19 Crore has been allocated for Karne Thanda Lift Irrigation Scheme and it will provide irrigation to the tribal hamlets located in higher altitudes. Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy on Wednesday thanked all the political parties and farmers in the Wanaparthy district for supporting the Telangana government in the execution of the project.
