Hyderabad: In an effort to streamline the traffic and mitigate the traffic congestion on the city roads, Hyderabad City Police has come up with a new traffic management policy which is being implemented from today, February 21. However, public transport buses and state-operated vehicles have been exempted from these restrictions to avoid inconvenience for the commuters.
According to the City Police Commissioner Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy the new traffic management policy will place certain restrictions on inter-district vehicles, lorries with national permit, medium goods vehicles and private buses. As part of this, all these vehicles will not be allowed to ply on all 94 identified routes across the city.
