GO 317 Should Go Away: Telangana Employees Association To State Govt

Demanding the immediate revocation of Government Order (GO) 317 and regularization of Junior Panchayat Secretaries, the office bearers of the Telangana Employees Association held a demonstration near Indira Park in Hyderabad on Monday. The Chief Secretary of the employees association also took part in the protest which was being held to demand relief for the state employees. 

The state president of Telangana Employees Association (TEA) Chilagani Sampat Kumar urged the government to reinstate the Field Assistants who worked as part of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA). He also demanded that the workload of Panchayat Secretaries should be reduced. The state employees association called for the implementation of the PRC pay scale notified by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao in the state Assembly in September 2020. He also requested the government to continue the regular transfers and restore the promotions in the Revenue and Education departments which were stopped for a long time.

Citing the PRC Government Order (GO), they also urged the state government to release the pending PRC arrears for April 2021 and May 2021 this year.
