GITAM Hyderabad Placements: 900 Students Get Job Offers in Campus Recruitment

TCS hired 200 engineering students from the GITAM campus in Hyderabad.

Sangareddy: On Friday, the GITAM Deemed-to-be University, Hyderabad's School of Technology (SoT), GITAM Hyderabad Business School (GHBS), School of Pharmacy, and School of Science celebrated Achievers' Day and handed over offers of appointment to selected engineering, management, pharmacy, and science students at its Rudraram campus in Sangareddy district.

The campus placements program at the institute has placed a total of 903 students. 165 firms came to the Institute to recruit students, making several offers to 197 students.

Approximately 88 per cent of qualified BTech, M Tech, BBA, MBA, B Pharmacy, BS, and MSc students have secured jobs in IT, product development, core industries, and pharmaceutical firms.

Virtusa hired two students for international jobs at a salary of $45K per year, while MuSigma hired eight Gitam students at a salary of Rs 30 lakhs per year, followed by Federal Bank at Rs 12 lakhs, Byju's at Rs 10 lakhs, Upgrad at Rs 8 lakhs, and Opentext at Rs.7.25 lakhs, Optum has given a package of Rs.7.15, TCS Digital, Wiley Mthree, and Dell Technologies hired at a salary of Rs.7 lakhs, Zemoso Technologies hired at Rs.6.89 lakhs, Hitachi Consulting and Cloud Thing hired at Rs.6.5 lakhs, Colins Aerospace hired at Rs.6.25, CallHealth hired at Rs.6, TEK Systems hired at Rs.6, Modak Analytics hired at Rs.5.5 lakhs, and Intellipaat hired at Rs.5.3 lakhs per year. About 25 firms provided deals with a CTC of Rs 5 lakh.

TCS hired 200 engineering students from the GITAM campus in Hyderabad. Companies like Valuemomentum (87), Mindtree (75), Wipro (33), Accenture (31), Hexaware (28), Tata Technologies and ICICI Bank (26 each), Vimata Labs (23), Upgrad (22), Virtusa (19), OpenText and TA Digital (14 each), Face (12), Evosys (10), Brane Enterprises, Infor, Justdial and Nalsoft (9 each), Climber, Collins Aerospace, Mu Sigma, NTT Data, PK Global and Prolifics (8 each) recruited students from GITAM Hyderabad.

Sravan Reddy, CEO-Techuva, congratulated and thanked all the students as he handed out the appointment letters.

Despite the several obstacles posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Prof N Siva Prasad, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, remarked that the students' hard effort and the quality education provided by GITAM were reflected in these placement achievements.

Prof. M Sri Bharat, President of GITAM, Dr Nathi Venu Kumar, Director of the GCGC, Prof. M Akka Lakshmi, Prof. N. Seetharamaiah, DVVSR Varma, and others were in attendance.
