CM Revanth Kicks Off Numaish, Face Mask Mandatory for Visitors

Hyderabad: The 83rd All India Industrial Exhibition, popularly called Numaish, commenced on January 01, 2024, Monday. Chief minister Revanth Reddy inaugurated the All India Industrial Exhibition. 

He was accompanied by his cabinet colleagues Ponnam Prabhakar, D Sridhar Babu (who is also the President of All India Industrial Exhibition Society) during the inauguration ceremony. The 46-day extravaganza will conclude on February 15. 

In view of the current Covid situation due to the emergence of Covid-10 sub-variant  JN.1, the organisers of Numaish have made wearing of face masks compulsory for  the visitors. During the Numaish, the Hyderabad Metro has decided to extend its services till late in the evening. The exhibition organisers are expecting a large number of visitors due to the free travel facility announced by the Telangana government for the women in RTC buses. 

This year the Exhibition Society has set up 2,400 stalls for the visitors. The society has not increased the ticket prices for the visitors.  Last year, the society had increased the visitors’ ticket price by Rs.10 and the ticket was priced at Rs 40. 

On weekdays, Numaish timings will be from 4 pm to 10.30 pm while the visiting time has been extended by 30 minutes during nights on the weekends and holidays. The society has also decided to allot January 9 only for women as ‘Women’s Day’ while January 31st will be dedicated for children as ‘Childrens’ Special Day’.
