Case Filed Against BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao For Releasing Videos, Private Pictures Of Victim In Jubilee Hills Gangrape Case

A case was registered against the Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Raghunandan Rao for releasing private pictures and a video clip of the victim in the case of the minor's gangrape in Jubilee Hills of Hyderabad. He urged the police to clarify if the youngster in the pictures and video clip was the son of an MLA. A case was filed by the Abids police against Raghunandan Rao under IPC 228 Section (a). The police also said that cases have been filed against three YouTube channels for showing the pictures and the videos of the victim in the Jubilee Hills gangrape case.

A minor girl returning home after attending a party at a pub was gang-raped in the Jubilee Hills area of Hyderabad on May 28th. She went to the pub along with her friends and left the pub at around 5.30 p.m. After that, they went to a bakery where all of them have spent some together and the five accused and the victim got into an Innova. On the pretext of dropping her home, she was raped in the car. After the incident, they dropped her at the same pub. The family members of the girl grew suspicious after noticing minor injuries on her neck. She was kept in a comfort zone for a day and later case was filed. Four accused were arrested in the case and the fifth accused is still absconding. Three of the four arrested accused are juveniles. The government of Telangana said that the state police department works without pressure and doesn't spare the culprits.
