15 May, 2021 12:42 IST|Sakshi Post

BJP state president and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay expressed unhappiness over the way of Telangana government handling of COVID-19 situation. He visited MGM hospital in Warangal on Friday and said that both Civil Hospital in Karimnagar and the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Warangal are working in the same manner and they have nothing to offer as far as health care is concerned.

He said that people come to MGM hospital with the hope that they will be recovered soon. He further added that the state government was not in a position to provide PPE kits, masks as well as Remdesivir to the patients.

Bandi Sanjay said that doctors and staff have been performing their duties despite lack of facilities. He visited the corona ward in MGM hospital on Friday. He wore a PPE kit and spoke to the victims in the ward along with the doctors. He enquired about the treatment from the patients.

Speaking to the media, Bandi Sanjay said that the corona wards are not clean. No sufficient doctors and staff in the hospital, so extra pressure is mounting on the existing staff. He expressed sorrow over the death of Dr Shobha Rani, four lab technicians. He said that they have died as they didn't get proper treatment on time.

He demanded that the state government should understand the situation in the hospital and should provide all the facilities and incentives should be paid to the staff. He questioned on what they have done with the 100 ventilators that have come from PM CARES fund. Bandi Sanjay was accompanied by MGM superintendent Nagarjuna Reddy, RMO Venkataramana, doctors and BJP leaders.
