5-Day Rain Forecast For Telangana

Telangana is going to witness light to moderate rainfall in a few areas for the next few days, as per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). The Director at Meteorological centre Hyderabad Dr Nagaratna said " The present synoptic condition suggests that mainly westerlies and south-westerlies prevail across Telangana state, and Telangana is expected to have mild to moderate rain in one or two spots during the next four to five days. Temperatures are expected to remain typical (plus or minus 2 degrees Celsius) for the next three to four days. The sky will be mostly clear, with temperatures ranging from 35 to 36 degrees Celsius." She also added there will be light rains with clear sky conditions in Hyderabad and adjoining areas.

As a result, the Chief Secretary held a teleconference with top officials and district Collectors to issue an alert for heavy to very heavy rains across the State. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrshekar Rao further stated that the government is prepared for any scenario and directed officials to remain on high alert." Due to severe rainfall, the state has already been flooded for two weeks, and the canals, water bodies, and ponds will overflow in the next two days due to heavy rains." 

In light of this event, CM KCR has urged citizens to stay alert and to take necessary precautions. People have been asked to cancel unnecessary journey. He stated that the government should be on high alert and conduct rescue operations to ensure that no lives are lost. He stated that the government is prepared to provide any type of support.
