40 Children Fall Sick After Eating Pani Puri

HYDERABAD: Atleast 40 children fell ill after eating pani puri sold on a cart that visited their area in Adilabad district on Monday.

Reportedly, all the 40 victims belong to Sundarayya and Khursheednagar Colony of Adilabad. 

Soon after consuming pani puri, children started suffering from vomitings and diarrhea along with abdominal pain. The victims were immediately admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Institute Of Medical Sciences (RIMS).

All the children who were shifted to hospital after eating pani puri are aged below 10 and are being treated for food poisoning.

Among them, four are said to be in a serious condition and are under more medical observation. 

Balaram, director of RIMS said that all the 40 children are under medical attention and they are conducting all the required tests. He also added that parents are advised to keep their children away from outside foods. The victims will be discharged after 24 hours, he said..
