On Monday, Chikkadpally police filed approximately 100 cases against those who violated the mask rule and were found without masks in public places. Due to an increase in Covid-19 cases, the police launched special drives against mask rule offenders in numerous areas as part of severely enforcing the 'Mask On' regulation.
As a result, persons found without masks in areas such as hotels, pan stores, tea stalls, bus stops, and so on were arrested and fined. Meanwhile, the police has issued a warning to store owners to ensure that Covid-appropriate behaviour is observed on their premises, as well as among their employees and customers. Officials asked that stores post 'No Mask, No Entry' signs and make sanitizers available.
