Shocker To Pawan's Janasena
In what can be a huge setback to Pawan Kalyan's Janasena party in Telangana and its key ally BJP, the Election Commission has not allotted the "glass" symbol to the Janasena party and its candidates. The ECI has declared the glass symbol used by Janasena as a free symbol. As Janasena is not a recognised political party in Telangana, the Election Commission did not reserve the glass symbol to the party and its candidates.
It can be noted that, the Jana Sena is contesting a meagre eight assembly seats as part of the alliance with the BJP in the Telangana assembly elections. With this, the Election Commission will decide whether the eight people will be independent candidates instead of Janasena party candidates. More details are awaited. Janasena party is yet to respond to this news.
