Letter to the Prime Minister

Arunachal Pradesh MLA Ninong Ering wrote to PM Modi suggesting that the game not be launched in India, claiming that it would represent the same threat to national security as the original PUBG, which was banned in September 2020, and the re-launch of the banned PUBG mobile. He expressed his concern regarding Battlegrounds Mobile India in a letter to Union IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. Ashok Nete, a member of Parliament from Gadchiroli in Maharashtra, and Suresh Naqwa, a BJP spokesperson, have also asked PM Modi to take strong action against the Chinese firm.

Senior Congressman Abhishek Singhvi claimed that by permitting the release of 'PUBG 2', the governing party at the national level has diverted the focus of the youth.
