HYDERABAD: Now, it is very easy to create new Messenger Rooms and invite friends to join the conversation through Instagram. The growing use of Zoom video conferencing service has made Facebook unveil Messenger Rooms last month. The Messenger Rooms on Facebook will allow group video calls of up to 50 people. Instagram has now integrated with the Facebook Messenger and the Instagram users will be able to invite up to 50 people for a video chat session. Even those without a Facebook account can join the conversation. Instagram said on Twitter, that one can create Messenger Rooms on Instagram and invite anyone to join. Instagram has also shared a video on explaining how to use the feature.

The user has to first go to Instagram Direct messages.
Then tap on the video chat icon.
Select Create a Room
Now, one can send invitations for the room to Instagram friends.
Instagram will then create a room and show a link to it.
It will also give the option to Join Room or Send Link.
Instagram will ask to open the room in the Messenger app, if you tap on Join Room.

The Messenger Rooms integration will also be available on WhatsApp. It is said that the facility will be available on WhatsApp Beta for Android right now.
