Nikhat Zareen, an Indian boxer, punched her way into the final of the IBA Women's World Boxing Championships in Istanbul on Wednesday. Nizamabad (Telangana)-born boxer Nikhat won the 52kg semi-final with a 5-0 victory over Brazil's Caroline De Almeida.
Nikhat, who is competing in her only World Championships, will compete in the flyweight final against Thailand's Jitpong Jutamas on Thursday.

So far, the only Indian women boxers who have won world titles are Mary Kom, Sarita Devi, Jenny RL, and Lekha C. If Nikhat Zareen of Hyderabad wins the final, he will join this elite group.
