Despite the sad news, Sabalenka is focused on the upcoming tournament. Fans on social media expressed their sympathy with Sabalenka. In response, the tennis star stated that she broke up with Koltsov a few years ago and appealed to fans not to disturb her privacy in this matter.

"Konstantin's death is an unthinkable tragedy, and while we were no longer together, my heart is broken. Please respect my privacy and his family's privacy during this difficult time," the two-time Australian Open champion wrote in her story.
