Last Day for BCCI to Make Changes in India T20 World Cup Squad

To make any changes in the T20 World Cup 2021 squad for all the teams, October 10 (Sunday) is the last date. Previously, it was thought that selectors, skipper Virat Kohli, and vice-captain Rohit Sharma would have one final call on Team India's squad for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021. Based on reports, unless there is an injury, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has confirmed that there will be no changes in the team India's squad.

There is also speculation that the BCCI will ask in-form leg-spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal, to return to the UAE. Rahul Chahar was preferred over Chahal for the World Cup, but Chahal has shown better form in the ongoing IPL, and BCCI selectors will ask him to stay in the UAE and be drafted into the team in case of injury.

Hardik Pandya's form and fitness are also major concerns for the management, as the star all-rounder did not appear to be in his usual batting form and did not bowl a single ball in the second leg of the IPL 2021. However, according to sources, Pandya will remain in the squad and will begin bowling at the nets in a couple of days.

Meanwhile, the BCCI has invited young pacer Umran Malik to join Team India as a net bowler. Several Board sources have confirmed that the youngster from Jammu, who made headlines this season with the fastest delivery by an Indian, will join the Indian team by Sunday.
