Virat Kohli's journey as a Royal Challengers skipper has ended after the loss against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Many hoped that RCB will win their maiden title this year, but unfortunately, the team is out of the IPL 2021 tournament.
Virat Kohli previously stated that he will step down as captain of RCB after this season.
Following the loss to KKR, Kohli stated, "I have given my 120 percent every year leading the team in the IPL.
"I've done my best to build a culture in which young people can come in and express themselves through cricket and belief. It's something I've done with the Indian team as well. I gave it my all. I'm not sure what the reaction has been, but I can say for a fact that I have given this franchise my all every year as the team's leader, which is something I will continue to do as a player," Kohli said at the post-match press conference.
Netizens are supporting Virat Kohli and pouring love on him after his final match as RCB captain.
I am heartbroken that @RCBTweets didn't win Today. @imVkohli you are an inspiration to a generation and will continue to inspire us. Rightly said, you gave your 120% and that's all that counts.
