IPL 2021: David Warner Dropped From Sunrisers Hyderabad?

In the fight against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals, the SRH team made four changes in their lineup. In Monday's match, David Warner was not in the playing XI.

Warner, who is having his worst season in the IPL, did not accompany the squad to the Dubai International Stadium and instead chose to cheer on his team from his hotel room. Warner also shared stories on Instagram after Kane Williamson's team won their opening game of the UAE leg.

Australia opener David Warner's Instagram response to fans led to rumours, assuming the left-hander may have played his final match for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2021.

But it was Warner's responses to fans in an SRH Instagram post that grabbed the curiosity of cricket enthusiasts. SRH fans were disappointed when Warner, who has been a key member of the team for many years, was not named to the XI.

The opener asked fans to continue supporting SRH despite his absence and hinted that he might not play another match in this year's IPL.

Warner was dropped from the SRH XI for the second time this season. The aggressive left-hander was dismissed from the XI after losing his captaincy in the first phase of the IPL 2021. He returned to the SRH XI for the rest of the league resumed four months later in the UAE, although he only scored two runs in two matches.
