India Qualifies For Asian Cup 2023 Finals

Even before the final match, the Indian team qualified for the Asian Cup 2023 finals. In their last qualifier, India will meet Hong Kong in Kolkata. India qualified for the continental tournament finals for the sixth time in its history.

India's qualification was assured after Palestine beat the Philippines 4-0 earlier in the day in Group B. The Palestinians qualified directly for the finals as group winners, whereas the Philippines, who finished second with four points, were eliminated despite coming second.

For the first time in history, the men in blue have qualified for two consecutive events. India has qualified ahead of its last round group D meeting with Hong Kong, which is second on goal difference.
