Before they leave for Mumbai, the players, support staff, and families will be checked, and two negative reports will be expected. It would be done to ensure that they do not get infected when they enter the bubble. The players have also been given the choice of flying or driving to Mumbai. The BCCI has advised the players to take Covishield, which is available in England, rather than Covaxin.

The Indian team will fly out on June 2 to play New Zealand in the World Test Championship final, followed by a five-match series against England. As part of the England tour, the players are getting vaccinated. Till now, Indian skipper Virat Kohli, Rahane, Shikar Dhawan got their first dose of vaccine.
