AMARAVATI: A sensational video showing former State Election Commissioner (SEC) of Andhra Pradesh Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar purportedly having a secret meeting with BJP's YS Chowdary (Sujana Chowdary) and Kamineni Srinivas at a Hyderabad hotel has kicked up a new political storm.

Ramesh Kumar's alleged recent meeting with Rajya Sabha member Sujana Chowdary and former AP minister and BJP leader Kamineni Srinivas is creating quite a buzz in the state political circles. The trio met at a five-star hotel in Hyderabad at 10:40 am. Their meeting lasted for about an hour and a half.

A video of the CCTV camera footage of the hotel spotted former SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh, YS Chowdary and Kamineni Srinivas entering a particular room in quick succession.

Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar closeting himself with former TDP leader Sujana Chowdary and Kamineni Srinivas who has close bonds with TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has kicked up a widespread political debate in the state.

The purported secret meeting assumes great political significance especially since Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar is being accused of blatantly favouring the opposition TDP while being in a responsible position. The former SEC was alleged to have favoured the TDP during the local body elections by recommending its postponement, much against the wishes of the ruling YSRCP. And Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar latest private meeting with leaders having close ties with Chandrababu Naidu only added weight to the allegations against the former SEC. The meeting also sparked off speculations in political circles at a time the Supreme Court is hearing the petition on the issue of Ramesh Kumar's removal as the SEC.

From the beginning, Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar was speculated to be an official with a pro-TDP tilt. Against this background, it is also being speculated now that his latest secret meeting had taken place at the behest of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.
