ANANTAPUR: Former TDP MLA and Tadipatri Municipal Chairman JC Prabhakar Reddy lauded Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as a man of morals. On Thursday, the TDP leader was sworn in as the Tadipatri Municipal Chairperson in Anantapur district.
After the ceremony, the TDP leader spoke to reporters outside the office and heaped praises on the Chief Minister. Without the cooperation of CM YS Jagan, I would not have become the Municipal Chairman today, he stated. If he wanted, YS Jagan could have done anything in his capacity, but did not and he had observed his morality today for which is why he was now the Chairman, he added in a rather mellowed tone.
'' Hats off to the CM ,'' he hailed, and assured that he would work with the local MLA Kethireddy Peddareddy and Anantapur MP Talari Rangaiah for the development of Tadipatri.
JC Prabhakar said he would soon meet Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to seek funds for the development of the Tadipatri town and was confident that he would ensure justice. He also praised the local police for the steps taken by them to ensure a peaceful election in the region.
In what could be described as the only successful win of the Opposition party the Tadipatri Municipal Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson, Telugu Desam Party candidates were sworn in where JC Prabhakar Reddy was elected as Chairman and P Saraswati as Deputy Chairperson.
Incidentally, this is the second term JC Prabhakar Reddy will be serving as the Chairman. He was elected as Chairman in 2004 and as Deputy Chairman in 2009.
