Young Telugu actor Kiran Abbavaram's latest outing SR Kalyanamandapam has opened to positive response from all quarters. This is the first film to become at least an average hit after the second wave.

It wouldn't be wrong if we said that SR Kalyanamandapam has come as a huge relief to Tollywood producers and distributors, who are reeling under pressure as many big-ticket films have been opted for digital release. The Telugu film exhibitors are pretty happy that the theatre business won't plunge looking at the response to this recent release. It is being said that the makers are planning to add the movie in few more theatres in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

After hearing positive reviews, movie buffs are eagerly waiting for the OTT release of the movie. If you are one of them, then you have landed on the right page. If sources are to be believed, OTT giants Aha and Prime Video are in the race to bag the rights of the film.

The makers are likely to sell the digital rights to whoever offers them a lucrative price. It remains to be seen which OTT platform is going to seal the deal with SR Kalyanamandapam filmmakers.

Talking about the OTT release date, SR Kalyanamandapam is expected to start premiering on Aha or Prime Video by the first week of September. The movie has earned decent reviews from all quarters. And hence, the makers may want to run the film in theatres for a while. SR Kalyanamandapam makers are yet to announce an official OTT release date of the film. The film is directed by Sridhar Gade and it is co-produced by Pramod, Raju.
