19 Nov, 2021 13:36 IST|Sharada

Sizzling actress Avika Gor rose to fame with the popular daily soap Balika Vadhu. It was one of the longest running shows on Indian television. She earned fame at an early age and continues to stay popular by doing interesting projects in Telugu and Hindi. Avika made her Telugu debut with the movie Uyyala Jampala. Later, she appeared in a couple of films. Now, she is coming back to woo us all with the movie 'Bro' starring Naveen Chandra in the lead role. The film is all set to premiere on SonyLiv from November 26, 2021.

In an exclusive tete-e-tete with Sakshi Post, Avika Gor shares her film journey

Tell us your about collaboration with Karthik Thupurani?

I think for me the very thought of being part of the movie was enough. When he met for the narration, he told me how the story was a remake of a beautiful story. When I got to know he is considering me for the character, I was so happy as the character is challenging and fun, all at the same time. I thought that I want the audience to know that I can even pull off such roles.

Tell us more about your character in the film

While watching the film, most of them would identify with the sister's character. How she is excited about her life. I actually fell in love with my character when they approached me for the role. Not only my character in 'BRO', but every character in the film has its own significance and will keep the audience glued to their seats.

What's the story about 'BRO'?

The film is titled 'BRO' and it stays true to that. When a brother learns his sister will not return home and how he overcomes the challenges and the feeling of missing his sister is written beautifully by the makers.

How was it working with Naveen Chandra?

He is an amazing actor. He is also an intelligent person among those who I have worked with so far. I'm fortunate to have worked with him, the experience of working with him will be cherished for a long time.

TV, Movies or Series, which one interests you more

I would love to work in movies rather than TV or web series. I'm not telling that they don't have a career or a market. I just can't adjust the dates for serials or series as they would take a lot of time to finish. When it comes to movies, we can wrap up the film in a fixed period that's why I like to do more movies, she signs off.
