As the country is battling the surge of Covid19 cases, everyone is trying to help in whichever way they can. From Bollywood celebrities to sportspersons to the common man, everyone is trying to take part. Recently an online charity Chess competition was held to raise awareness.

‘Checkmate COVID’ was a charity event held to raise awareness and collect funds to be donated to those suffering from Covid19. But the event turned out to be something that was not intended. It came as an eye-opener to all and exposed celebrities and their cheap tactics. Some of them really go too far to show their power and win even such events.

The event that was held recently had attendance from some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. On Monday, Indian Chess Grandmaster and coach Srinath Narayanan took to Twitter to share proof of what these celebrities have done. He shared two pictures that show that actor-director Kichcha Sudeep and producer Sajid Nadiadwala both used unfair methods to win the game. Their accounts were also banned from Chess.com.

“Everyone suspected this. I didn't want to be the judge, jury, executioner. Now the truth of this whole thing is out and clear,” wrote Narayanan while sharing screenshots of Sudeep and Nadiadwala’s accounts.

Now that it is out in the open that these celebrities used cheap tricks in order to win, many have started doubting others as well. Actor Aamir Khan and cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal are also on the radar now. People are suspecting that even they must have used unfair methods. Chahal is known to be an avid Chess player. He likes the game and is a respected sportsperson. Fans are saying that he cannot go that far to win a game. But nothing can be said.

Another person who cheated in this game in order to win against the Chess champion Viswanathan Anand, was India’s youngest billionaire, Nikhil Kamath. It was revealed that Kamath used the computer’s help and other people as well were there who helped him win the game. Later his account was banned.

Even Viswanathan Anand tweeted about it expressing his disappointment over how people played the game.
