Ramesh Pokhriyal Admitted To AIIMS With Post-Covid Complications

NEW DELHI: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank (61) was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), in Delhi this morning due to post-Covid complications on Tuesday. As per reports, the minister was admitted under Dr Neeraj Nischal, an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at AIIMS after he apparently developed breathing issues.

The Education Minister had tested positive for COVID-19 on April 21 and had recovered and got back to work.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will not take a final call on Class12 board examinations in two days, a Board official told a leading news channel as the matter is still sub-judice in Supreme Court. The Board will submit their response in the Supreme Court and it was stated that Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal had said that an informed and collaborative decision between the Board and Government would be taken by June 1, and he was hospitalised today.
